T-Stress Evaluation Based Cracking of Pipes Using an Extended Isogeometric Analysis (X-IGA)

The aim of this study is to investigate the problem pipe cracking based on T-stress analysis and influence other parameters, using a numerical computation performed by extended isogeometric (X-IGA). This article examines T-stress, which defines second term Williams’ series expansion. provides effective elastic modeling at crack tip. Using iso-geometric (X-IGA), we determined distribution tip in under internal pressure as function pressure, size, Poisson’s ratio. To validate promising findings, results are expanded with comparison finite element (X-FEM) method existing research field, obtained an error between 0.2% 4.6%. work demonstrated significance fracture description, effect ratio size that X-IGA provided accurate precisely describing geometry enriching it.
